This Privacy Policy explains how ForeCYTE Systems LLC (“ForeCYTE,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the iOSHA family of mobile applications — including the iOSHA 1910, 1926, 1928 and 1960 apps, iOSHA HSE Pro, iOSHA Ultra and the iOSHA e-Reference titles (together, the “Apps”) — and the related cloud back office. By using the Apps you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & profile details — such as your name, email address, employer or organization, and the company, location, area and observer values you set up for your team.
- Field content you enter — behavior-based safety (STEP) observations, ergonomic and compliance audits, ratings (Safe / At Risk / Barrier), notes, photos you attach, and the citations or PDFs you generate and send.
- Support correspondence — information you send us through the support or contact forms, including the app, issue type and error description you report.
Information collected automatically
- Device & app data — device model, operating-system version, app version, language and time zone.
- Diagnostics — crash logs and basic, aggregated usage events that help us find and fix problems and improve reliability.
The Apps include reference content derived from the public Code of Federal Regulations and OSHA materials. Browsing that reference content does not, by itself, require an account.
How we use information
- To provide the Apps and their core features — recording observations and audits, generating citations and PDFs, and syncing your records.
- To operate the cloud back office, including trending and reporting across your team’s observations, audits and management reviews.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about service updates.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal and regulatory obligations.
- To improve performance and develop new features using diagnostic and aggregated data.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share information only:
- Within your organization — observations and audits you submit are visible to authorized members of your own company or account, which is the purpose of the back office.
- With service providers — vendors who host, store or process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- For legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or ForeCYTE.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Data storage & security
Field records can be created offline on your device and sync to a secure cloud repository when a connection is available. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain account and field records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Apps, and afterward as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Organizations using the back office may set their own retention preferences for their team’s records.
Your choices & rights
- You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal information, subject to your organization’s administrator and to legal limits.
- You can control device permissions (such as photos) in iOS Settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; we honor applicable requests.

Children’s privacy
The Apps are intended for workplace and professional use and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Apple App Store
The Apps are distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Purchases, subscriptions and restores are handled by Apple; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
International users
We operate from the United States. If you access the Apps from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed and stored in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through in-app or other notice.
